Grama Panchayat

As per Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EE R1 dated 06.09.2024, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024 by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural), the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Ayyankunnu Grama Panchayat of Kannur District has been fixed at 16.

Based on this, draft proposals were published on 18.11.2024 through Notification No. SDC/994/2024/SDC6 for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 16 electoral wards and determining their boundaries accordingly.

Time was granted up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the proposals. The objections and suggestions received were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and necessary decisions were taken after consideration.

Accordingly, under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the final order has been issued dividing Ayyankunnu Grama Panchayat into 16 electoral wards and determining their boundaries as shown in the appended schedule.
